Article 83 from the Organic Law for Universities establishes channels for collaboration and interaction between the University and the social environment through the undertaking of research jobs, both technical and artistic, as well as the implementation of specialised courses.
Professors from the University of Salamanca may enter into contracts with public or private entities for the development of the following categories of work:
1. Research and experimental development work
2. Consultancy and advisory activities
3. Production of studies, reports or expert opinions
4. Analysis services
5. Technical assistance services
6. Repetitive technical services
7. Teaching activities in specialisation, training and development courses, which do not require official recognition nor the granting of diplomas or certificates on behalf of the University of Salamanca.

8. Agreements for staffing for the development of specific activities
The following activities are excluded:
Professors may receive additional remuneration for performing work up to 88% of the taxable base of their contract.
